New Generation for Change (NGC) was founded in August 2018 in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, by Cherubin Sadiki and a group of committed young leaders. Born from the urgent need to address conflict, poor governance, and youth exclusion, NG4C set out with a bold mission: to build a responsible generation capable of transforming communities through peacebuilding, mindset change, and leadership development. The organization’s early focus was on awareness campaigns and small training sessions, laying the foundation for community engagement and trust. In 2019, NGC implemented its first flagship project — Local Security Governance in Karisimbi Commune — with support from UNDP, strengthening citizen participation and equipping neighborhood leaders to improve safety and collaboration with local authorities. This milestone not only validated NG4C’s model but also positioned it as a credible actor in peacebuilding. Over the years, NG4C deepened partnerships with local government, youth associations, and international NGOs, expanding its work into entrepreneurship, civic education, and gender equality initiatives. By 2022, NG4C had mobilized hundreds of youth leaders, facilitated inter-community peace dialogues, and launched projects that encouraged women’s participation in governance. Today, NGC continues to grow, championing inclusive development, environmental protection, and sustainable livelihoods. Its journey is a testament to the power of youth-led action and collaboration, proving that when young people are empowered, they can reshape society and build a more peaceful, just, and resilient Congo.

Our Values

At NGC, our programs are guided by the values of Integrity and Good Governance. These principles ensure transparency, accountability, and fair participation, allowing beneficiaries to trust our work, engage meaningfully, and experience real, sustainable change that empowers them to lead their communities toward peace and development.

We uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and accountability in everything we do. Integrity guides our decisions and builds trust with the communities, partners, and donors we serve.

Integrity also means consistency between words and actions.

Our team leads by example, modeling responsible citizenship and inspiring young people to act with fairness and courage. By holding ourselves accountable, we build credibility with beneficiaries, partners, and donors, based on mutual respect.

Integrity

Good Governance

We promote fairness, participation, and accountability — both within NGC and in the communities where we work. Good governance is the foundation for sustainable peace and development.

We believe that accountable and participatory governance empowers young people and women to challenge corruption, resolve conflicts peacefully, and drive the long-term transformation for the society.
